Team Hillrunner.com: Let the OFFICIAL recruiting begin
« on: June 30, 2006, 05:13:39 PM »
Also, a question coming for potential team members.

First, I now have the Al's Run team packet. If you want to join Team Hillrunner.com, you can now register (how you do so depends - read on...).

Second, get recruiting! We have a goal for team size. This year, we don't get the Team Hillrunner.com logo on our shirts unless we get at least 10 team members.

Third, the question. This year, we can do online registration if we would like. However, if we register online, everyone has to register online. If we register the old fashioned way, everyone has to register the old fashioned way. I need opinions. How would people prefer to register? I can do either way, all that matters to me is registering in a way that we can get at least 10 people and get the fastest team possible.

Don't forget, we have a title to defend! Three years and running, 5 years and running if you count Team GTI. Let's go Team Hillrunner.com! The past two years, while we wouldn't have even been in the running without Team Hillrunner.com regulars, new recruits have been key in putting us over the top. Everyone is needed! Don't hesitate to join Team Hillrunner.com and don't stop recruiting!

Count me in!  I don't have a preference as to registration method.  I'll try recruiting a few people to the team.

Well, I've only heard from two people so far. One no vote and one preference for pen and paper registration, so I guess we're staying offline for this year's registration unless I hear a very strong argument for online registration in the very near future.

On that note, I need the usual information or I need entry forms. And I need it soon! At the very least, I need to start hearing from people! As of now, we have a 3 runner team!

I'll be making some phone calls this weekend to try to spur some people on. I'll also make a follow-up post this weekend with more on the specifics on what I need to get you registered. If I have your phone number, expect a call. Interest, at least "vocalized" interest, has been far short of what I was hoping for so far. We need to get going and build this team!

I'll get the drop dead date this weekend when I get all the other information. If I recall, it's usually early August.

I may have your number, would have to see if I have the alumni contact sheet around. If I have it, I may call you and harrass you a bit. ;)

Ryan,
I would be interested in running for Team Hillrunner.  I'm coming off an injury plagued June but I should be ready to fly by September.  Last year I think I came in somewhere in the 28:40's.  I plan on being below that this year.

Aaron, I'm sure everyone on the team would be very happy to welcome you aboard. Who knows? You may turn into this year's wild card. Remember, someone new to the team has been a key to our winning each of the past two years.

Keep an eye out. I'll get more information on how to get either your entry form or the necessary information for registration to me, as well as when I need it by, soon.

Welcome to the team!
