A local representative of athletes arrested on Friday has owned up to their culpability, but he thinks somebody is instigating the smear campaign against his subjects.

"I can't defend them on accusations about their ages, but somebody is diverting attention from his own athletes who are equally culpable," said Barnaba Korir.
