Ritzenhein sidelined with foot injury

Whenever it seems Rockford's Dathan Ritzenhein is on a roll with his running career, an injury derails the Olympian's momentum.

Ritzenhein on Monday withdrew from Saturday's USA men's 8-kilometer championship race in New York City because of a left foot ailment sustained last week.

At the 2004 Athens Olympics, he did not finish the 10,000-meter run because of a stress fracture in his left foot.
