I weighed in with another somewhat lackluster mid-300s effort. I guess considering mid-300s lackluster means things aren't going exactly badly.

One insane racing experience that let me know that, while I may not be all that excited about how my training has been going, it does have me in at least pretty good shape.

Planning on more racing in July, starting tomorrow in Hales Corners. Plan to continue with possibly back to back race weekends on the 21st and 28th.

I had 275 miles (most ever) last month on 28 days - all singles.

I am 12 weeks away from the Fox Cities Marathon.  I sent in my registration fee last week.  The training is going well.  The last two weeks I started to see my gains from the higher mileage last month. I completed my 14 mile MP training run very well with a lot left.

Mark, that's really solid. Virtually 10 miles per run without missing many days. That kind of training will pay off at Fox Cities (and hopefully Al's Run :) ).

Thanks Ryan.  I am pleased with my progress.  My initial focus was to increase my mileage, moving from 50 up to 65-70 per week.  Now I am concentrating on more tempo and MP pace runs with the increased mileage.  The pace is challenging, but I think that I am still a little tired from the higher mileage.  I have 3 races in August (5 K and 2x10K) and a 1/2 marathon on Labor Day, Al's run, and the marathon.

Ran 102 miles from June 1-17th could not run June 18th-30th because injury (torn glute medius away from my iliac crest ) and it is taking soooooooooooooo long to heal. No good. Must be healthy for XC.

130 on 15 runs, getting consistency back over the last two weeks, had some really good workout.  Im hoping to be fully back in gear for the rest of the summer.

235 miles on 32 runs in 28 days.

More shorter runs than I'd planned, and the doubles necessitated by my schedule with the summer running club 3 evenings per week. Overall, pretty solid, but I think I need to work more on getting some double digit single runs in.
I know there\'s a balance... I see it when I swing past.

June was a very good month for me. Did two races either of which were impressive time-wise but I'm encouraged and pleased with my effort and race management. Coupled with my speedwork the tempo runs I began doing the 2nd week of the month have seemed to pay off. I have a 5k race scheduled tomarrow. I may just end up pacing my son as my legs feel a bit tired. I laso have another 5k on Wednesday that Dana is supposed to do with me. There's a half at the end of the month. One of the guys I'm helping train for the Columbus half is doing it. I may jog it with him or if I can talk Dana into doing the relay I may do that. I really want to focus on shorter races throughout the Summer. This is week 3 of my marathon schedule and I'm way ahead mileage-wise. I'll try to maintain this level for at least the next three weeks.

still trying to figure out how to deal with my PF...

a smitch over 50 miles for the month... THAT is depressing... the latest is a pair of Superfeet insoles that seem to help somewhat...

I finished up the month with 167 running miles and many more biking miles.
My goal is to run 2 races each month. I ran a 5K that got me a new PR by a whopping 3 seconds.  The following weekend my first ever 10K down at Green Lake. A beautiful but hilly course, hit my goal of 47:00 even though I did a lousy job of pacing.

Right now training for my first marathon relay at Paavo, fighting the deerflies & humidity like everyone else.

Happy running.  :)

41 miles...and that was the first few days!   I'm finally back at it this week.  My first 30 minute run was painful, felt like I've never run in my life.  I didn't know if my calf was okay or not because every inch of my body hurt!!!  I'm up to an hour and freaking PF is gonna come back!

560 biking miles though!  I'm getting pretty good.  The swimming.....eh, not so good
