I had some trouble with it but got it up about the time they got to the 2 mile mark.

No big news right now, one guy is out on front, a non-contender. All the favorites are in a large chase pack shortly behind the leader. Pace started slow but mile 4 for the chase pack was 5:00 and mile 5 was 5:03. The pace is getting to where it's supposed to be.

The pack is about to overtake the leader and the real race is about to start. So far, no sign of the loss of any favorites.

Leader just passed 10k in 32:22 with the leaders of the chase pack 3 seconds back.

Leader is Michael Wardian (sp?), about to be swallowed up.

Fasil Bizuneh has taken the lead. Just a step or two at the moment.

Brian Sell taking the pace for a bit, not making a break but trying to make the pace honest.

Wardian, I've ran with him.  He used to do 100ks.  Is it windy out there?

Looks like a 4:56 for mile 8.

I don't see much wind in the trees but they were talking about some strong winds, even beach erosion warnings nearby.

For the record, as the announcers pointed out, Wardian didn't go out and flame out. He went out at 5:15 pace, his race pace, and it just happened that nobody went with him or faster.
