Yesterday evening, I released a redesigned
homepage for Hillrunner.com.
Everything that was on the homepage is still there in addition to some new offerings. The major change is using a tabbed interface to ensure that you can easily find exactly what you're looking for without having to work your way through a very cluttered page.
The first thing you will likely notice is that the "Great Deals on Running Shoes" section is more prominently displayed at the top of the page. I hope you will take advantage of the deals available through the links there, both to support Hillrunner.com and to save some money next time you are ordering running shoes or other gear for that matter.
Once you get down to the main body of the homepage, the next thing you will notice are tabs. Just as with the links page, I'm adding the tabbed interface with the intent of making more content readily accessible to you while allowing you to find that content without working your way through as much clutter. Do you want to see news on what's going on at Hillrunner.com? Just click the Hillrunner.com News tab in the News section. Do you want to see all recently updated topics on the forums? Just click on the All Topics tab in the Forums section. Want to see only running topics, not off-topic discussions? Just click on the General Running tab in the Forums section (this happens to be the default selection). Want to see articles or links that have been recently added to Hillrunner.com? Just click on the corresponding tab under the Hillrunner.com Features section.
I hope you find the new design to be easier to read and able to provide you even more information on what is going on at Hillrunner.com. More changes to the homepage are already being planned, which will give you more of what you want in one convenient place.
