Jenny Barringer owns Colorado’s record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, NCAA and U.S.A. Track and Field titles in the event, plus its fastest time ever run by a collegian. Yet there’s still plenty for her to do.
Barringer will compete this weekend for CU at the NCAA’s Outdoor Midwest Regionals in Lincoln, Neb. A top-five finish in the steeplechase will qualify Barringer for the NCAA Championships, which are June 11-14 in Des Moines, Iowa. And a strong performance will also help the junior forget her frustrations from earlier this month at the Big 12 Championships.
