(RTTNews) - China has ordered the closure of forty factories in the eastern port city of Tianjin in order to minimize air pollution in nearby Beijing during the Olympic Games to be held in August.
The plants have been ordered to stop production from late July. According to reports, two cement works and six factories that cause contamination would be closed. Work on key building sites in Tianjin will also be suspended. Similar action was taken earlier in the city of Tangshan, about 90 miles east of Beijing.
