Eugene, Ore.- Listen up, Plain Dealer carriers.
There can be a higher purpose, a greater reward for slogging the morning paper through snowdrifts and leaping over puddles, block after block. It can lead, believe it or not, to the Olympic Games. And no, there's not an event called the newspaper throw.
Just ask 2008 Olympian Josh Mc- Adams, who delivered The Plain Dealer to his Broadview Heights neighborhood through high school. McAdams qualified for the Beijing Games on Saturday by finishing third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the U.S. Track and Field Trials.
