The University of Colorado strengthened its case for the title of Steeplechase U on Saturday as Billy Nelson qualified for the Beijing Olympics in the event at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials.

Only a few weeks removed from finishing his CU career, Nelson is on his way to Beijing after finishing second in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase. He'll join Jenny Barringer, the CU junior who qualified in the women's race Thursday.
