I went in thinking sub 18. I was thinking all these base miles would slow me down. Didn't taper for this race usually I take a day off.

The Weather was perfect 41 slight drizzle. The First mile is uphill, with two steep but short bumps, Then the second is flat to uphill, The third mile is nice downhill to the finish.

Splits- 5:33-5:44-5:37- :32 17:25

First girl passed me at 3 mile mark I got her by 2 secs I flew after her. Cool down with the three top women around town .  They were all Hot and fun to talk with.

Congratulations!  You shattered your goal and got to talk to three hot women.  Sounds like a good time all the way around.

Woody, good job. See, it's amazing what base training will do for you. Just think what will happen once you take the time to finish it off and then add speed on top of that fitness.
"Biased one-sided training with an overemphasis on one component or quality is one of the biggest causes of injuries today." - Vern Gambetta
