I'm not sure how many of you make much use of your personal messages but, if you do, you may have been less than impressed with the organizational capabilities of the messaging system. Sure, you could label messages but everything is still cluttering up your inbox.
No more. Well, at least not if you don't want that.
Now, you can remove messages from your inbox when you label them. Essentially, this works a lot like moving e-mails out of your inbox and into another folder in Outlook or another e-mail client.
To automatically remove a message from your inbox when applying another label: When in the Messaging system, hold your cursor over the Preferences menu item and click Change Settings in the submenu. The last option in there says Remove the inbox label when applying another label. Check the box behind that and click the Change Settings button. Now, when you add a label, the inbox label will be removed and the message will not show up in your inbox.
To add a label to a message: Within the message list, check the box behind the message you want to label. At the bottom of the message list, there is a drop-down that says Label selected:. Click this drop-down and you can add or remove any label you would like. Alternatively, when reading the message, you can do the same thing with the drop-down that says Label Message: right within the message.
If anyone has any questions about labeling messages or anything else within the messaging system (take a look around, there are some other nice features that I may mention later) feel free to ask.
