I cannot help but wonder if Magill knows me.

Has anyone else missed YL4OR?

I suspect he knows you by association. The way he knows many runners. Especially when it comes to the competitive types, we aren't all that different.

I love that last line.

Definitely miss YL4OR and I know you and I aren't alone. Just earlier this week, I received an email asking if I knew whether Pete's Carlsbad training plan was still available online (the answer is it's not but there is an RT article by Pete, which he largely based the Carlsbad plan on - I'll post the link to that on the Carlsbad thread later).

Definitely, though I have all of it archived in my Google reader (and there is a lot in there I have yet to read) should I care to refer back to any of it.  Thus, I was able to copy/past the entire 5K training plan into a text document that is saved on my hard drive which I could upload and share.

Thankfully,
Running Times remains the type of publication that will retain a talented running writer such as Magill (as well as Douglas, Beverly, Gerwick, Metzler, et alia) who appeals to so many of us who cannot get that level of input anywhere else.

Why dink around? Go for it, be the best. It is worth whatever risk there is even if you fall short. You will be better.
