This evening, I applied an update to the forums. The good news: There are a few security fixes and a large number of bug fixes and everything is still functional. The bad news: Obviously, things didn't go quite as smoothly as hoped for and things look a little funky at the moment.


I will be working on this as I am able to do so. Hopefully, it won't take more than a day or two to have things back to where we remember them. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.


If anything seems to not be working properly, please let me know and I will look at it ASAP. As far as I am aware, though, everything is working, just not looking like I'm sure you expected when you first came in here.

OK, things should already be looking much more like normal. There are a few formatting fixes I'll have to make but they will hopefully be minor enough that nobody will be bothered by them.

Again, if anything is not working the way you think it should, please let me know so I can look at it right away.

As far as I can see, on Firefox at work, everything is back to normal. If anything doesn't look right to you, please let me know and I'll look into it.

Good call, this is missing and currently has not been updated to the new version. I'm sure it will be soon. If not, I'll get it done myself this weekend. I still think the update is more important to get the security enhancements and various bug fixes.

In addition, the share/bookmark tool will likewise not be available immediately. I'm sure it also will be soon but I know that tool was infrequently used so I hope it won't be missed.

Yes, I'm disappointed in it so far also. If you turn off the WYSIWYG and use it as it was in the old version, it still seems to work as expected. I've been logging issues with the vendor on the issues with WYSIWYG. They are definitely aware that there are issues that need to be ironed out. I was hoping some would be ironed out with this release but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Tagging is back and formerly tagged topics are still tagged as before.

Took me longer than it should have but at least it's done now.
