I am still running outside, Ive been running for 4 weeks since my injury, and about half the runs have been outside, and when i go inside its not the temperature that puts me on the treadmill, i just want to be careful and run on different surfaces, and softer ones like the tread for some of my mileage.
But i was outside running when it was -20 w/o windchill a week or 2 ago, and i was outside yesterday, my friends ear got a little frostbite, but I was ok.
I think it makes you stronger. My friend never runs outside in the winter, unless someone is with, i did all last winter, mostly on my own. I wasnt cold and he was, it was about -20 with windchill. We wore similar stuff, I wore a sweatshirt, w/nothing under, he wore 3 long sleeve shirts, i wore a hat, so did he, he wore sweatpants, i wore those loose underarmer type pants.
The only thing that sucks is that your flem gets really thick, otherwise i love the cold as much as i love the heat. Btw i love both, cause it makes everyone else worried, while i don’t and in turn excell in comparison
