I am good about starting easy – heard enough advice about that my first marathon training cycle. When is a good point to blast it out? Is there a landmark at the last 1/2 or 1/4 mile to look for? If I have energy I want to burn it all – I want to leave nothing on the course that day.
I know our scoring team members will be in the low 5:XXs and I can only dream right now of low 6:XXs for that distance – so I’ll be of no help keeping the trophy but you never know the status of other teams and why leave it to chance. If I can blow it out – why not?
So after all my babbling – I’m looking for an easily recognizable landmark to fire-up the afterburners.
