this morning I got up 45 minutes early, dressed and drove out to the track… 14 degrees but at least no snow… I told myself I wanted to see if anyone else was as crazy as I am… I was the first to arrive, the next two were the guys who BQ’ed in Philly… I told myself THAT’s what it takes…

to be fair most of the runners in my group a triathalon people… or newbies or as old as me…

on the other hand, one guy who is in my age group but had a bad run at Grandma’s this summer BOUGHT a charity bib for Boston… it cost him $8,000.00 😯 … when I told my husband he said “run faster dear”… so after a long discussion with my coach about treadmill alternatives (“better than not running at all”) I am using all my time outside to build more confidence in how tough I really am…

you just have to find the right mantra, mine is “$8,000.00”
