Good point, Randy. EIA could lead to some scary feelings. However, it is definitely controllable. A former coach of mine has EIA. He takes a shot from the inhaler before running, then heads out. While the cold gives him some problems and he definitely needs one of those ski masks that I referenced already but I have run side by side with him in very cold conditions in northern Wisconsin and witnessed him having no problems. If the EIA isn’t too severe, it is not impossible to control it.
