Well, as runners, I think those of us who are here might have some trouble with giving you advice on an overall training program. However, maybe we can help you with a running program.

Really, the running side is pretty simple. Get out as soon as possible and start running easy. Don’t worry about pace to start, most people are at much more risk of going too fast than they are of going too slow. Focus on building the duration of your runs. This is the key to everything that happens afterward. This will help build the endurance you need for such demanding physical tasks. As you get closer to the time you will be doing these tasks, you could add in hill repeats and, depending on the need for speed, you could add on speed workouts. However, before any of this happens, you have to have the endurance base.
