The only way that I see this as a potential for disaster is if you continue doing this without listening very close to your body. Aches, pains and cumulative loss of endurance should be closely monitored. Too quick a ramp up could lead to soreness or minor injuries that cause a need for a few days rest.
I would be carefull calling an 8:15 pace a recovery run – that seems fast for a recovery. Especially when you say too fast is less than 30 secs per mile faster.
Remember for most people – balance of miles during the week is best with a long run that is not more than 25% (I think – help me out GTF) of your weekly total mileage.
I think you had a good week/weekend and you can build on that.
