I totally agree with Ryan. While I considered myself a pretty consistent runner in the past, I’d still take 3-5 days off a month. These were mostly for no reason other than “I’m tired” or “I don’t feel like running today.” Through the first 3 months of this year I’ve taken 2 days off and I’m feeling stronger than ever.
Glad to hear you’re pleased with your speed and endurance. Can’t wait to hear how your next race goes. It’ll be interesting to compare it to the Jingle Bell 10k.
Ed, your consistency has improved a lot over the last 3 months, but you still have LOTS of room for improvement. I think you’ve averaged nearly 3 days off per week over the last 2 months. Get that down to 2 days off per week, then 1 day off per week and you’ll see even more improvements.
