Not to mention that the final count (substituting 4×200 with 4×100) still left him at 7 events even counting the triple jump and open 400. He would have to compete in the 800 or pick up another field event. Maybe javelin?
Seriously. That exercise just proved that comparing across sports is a comparison of apples and oranges. It's impossible for a T&F athlete to even find 8 events to compete in, much less have any chance of winning a medal in.
