Like Ryan I watch my diet all the time, the only difference is the amount goes up a little when I'm training, especially carbs. I keep it balanced, am more likely to eat mini meals to keep the energy level up.
I can drink more beer when training then not. 😉
My training staples include: wholegrain bread & bagels, old fashioned oatmeal, skim milk, ff yogurt, peanut butter, bananas, turkey, a good variety of fruits & veggies, pretzels.
I'm not a fan of mustard so I can't comment on adding it to foods.
Anne! And here I thought I was the only one who could drink more beer in marathon season. It's downright freakish.
My advice on food? Chicken wings…lots of wings. Kidding. But they are a nice treat from time to time.
