Ed, it's good to see you practicing patience around. Just wondering, are you going to do any tune-up races over the summer in preparation for Al's Run? Of course, the most important for you at this point in time is to establish your base. However, it's rarely if ever a good idea to go into a goal race without a couple of tune-up races under your belt. It might be good to do a couple of 5k races around the July/August timeframe to reacquaint yourself to the racing atmosphere.
Anyway, whatever you decide on that front, I like the fact that you're not shooting for a sub-3 marathon by next spring. 😉 Patience is key, especially when on the comeback trail. I hope to see you as a part of Team Hillrunner.com in September.
