Here's what my week looked like during my hill phase last year;

Monday: 6 to 8
Tuesday: Hills 10
Wednesday: 6 to 8
Thursday: Hills 10
Friday: 8 fartlek
Saturday: Hills 10
Sunday: 15 to 18

So 67 to 70mpw, Monday and Wednesday were as easy as needed.  Sunday was done at whatever felt comfortable.  At this point, this mileage was a little step down for me and felt much easier, I felt less need for recovery after a long base building phase.

If you can, get hold of a copy of Running Your Best, by Ron Daws.  Somebody here recommended this book to me and it really helps clarify Lydiard style training.  Its worth the $$ IMO.
