I didn't keep track of my mileage in October but ran pretty much the same schedule every week, ends up around 40 miles/week.
Peter, you asked about core conditioning & I've found Pilates to be very effective in strengthening your core. My daughter is a longtime ballet student & taught me most of the excercises but I know there are classes & DVD's that cover the same stuff. It's not easy at first but you do see & feel the results. I do them 3x/week.
