My workouts recently have typically been one tempo run of about 25-28 minutes a week and one workout of 8 times 2:00 hard with 1:00 recoveries per week. In addition, I've been doing 4 times 30 second strides about 5 times a week for the past couple of weeks, though I only expect great benefit of these workouts in the coming weeks.

I didn't mean to blow you off before the race or anything. I was just in a crunch, I felt like I was about 5 minutes behind on my warmup so I felt more rushed than usual. It was great meeting you, even for just a moment, and I would have loved to talk with you more had I not felt so rushed. I also looked for you at the finish but I was also talking with the team members so you probably slipped by while I was talking with someone.

It looks like you had a great race, also. In fact, I'm going to have to work on recruiting you for next year. You would have been our 5th runner and put us even more frustratingly close the team champions.
