I heard reports that they did this at the half marathon. It looks to me like they also did that somewhere between 25k and 30k and possibly also somewhere between 30k and 35k.
I also have no problem admitting I very well might have DNS'd or DNF'd or I might have backed off the intensity greatly and treated it as a long training run with aid stations. Today was not a day for racing a marathon in the upper midwest.
