I learned the hard way a while back not to start at a goal pace and build the distance – that sucked.
I was just thinking that if I want to do a half marathon in 1:15 then I had better be able to train at the paces that the calculator spit out.
I guess I will just keep training and entering races and plugging results in and when the results are at or better than what my goal suggests I then would know that my fitness level is where it needs to be.
I am not getting out there every day but at least 4-5 days a week at 3-4 milers – rarely is it only 2 miles now.
