Hard to disagree with that. It's one thing to volunteer for a not-for-profit event or one that is raising money for a cause you appreciate. It's another to volunteer, especially if you're signing a liability waiver, for a for-profit corporate event. If you're going to make money off my labor that just goes toward your bottom line, then give me at least some token compensation in return. At the very least, pick up some insurance that will cover your volunteers if they get hurt at your event.
