Given the dearth of information regarding activity over the past 12-18 months, I shall presume it to be close to nil.  I would thus advise a program starting with walking, period, in increasing frequency and duration for at least 12 weeks before starting to work jogging into the routine.  This is with respect to not simply the cardiovascular system but chiefly the musculoskeletal system, which develops more slowly of the two.
