Keep cheering, please. I caught that mistaken “Tuesday” reference prior to publication in the newspaper.

No, the closest existing running clubs are an hour’s drive away. The desire for a locally organized effort (I’m hesitant to call it a “club” until there’s more than me as a member) was expressed by a couple women in my office who said they would try running if given guidance. They walk on their lunch hour with pedometers. Now the ball’s in their court to step it up.

This will mean that the group must start at a very introductory level. If others with more experience turn up, we can split into groups or set aside another day and time for more serious group running.

We’ll just have to see what happens.
