Great point, Zeke. If your long run isn’t already in the 15-20 mile range, preferrably on the high side of that range, you’re running out of time. I guess I assumed that the long runs were there but, if that 12 miler is the long run, you’re quickly running out of time.
I still haven’t seen a reason that you should not be able to expect to hold 7:00 pace for a 25, though. Unless, as Zeke also pointed out, the current training is being done too fast.
