If Ed jumps off a bridge the traffic in this forum would be cut in half. Just kidding around, a lot can happen and I can see both sides here. Its great to be optimistic, but I think it also helps to just immerse yourself in doing the work and not worrying about where you end up. Maybe you’ll go sub3, maybe you’ll go 3:10, maybe you’ll look up after a while and realize you’re at 2:45! Limiting yourself to one thought all the time will be tough and I’m not sure its healthy. Focus more on the training that will get you there and less on the end result. Then just let it all happen.
