is cross training an option? maybe water jogging would help since it would encourage some ankle flexibility and not give it the pounding that running can… I know that you are concerned to NOT lose conditionig and I’ve had fairly good luck with water jogging and the elliptical… if you have access and don’t get bored out of your mind…

I think coming back from an injury is the only thing worse than trying to stay calm through a three week taper… since you can’t just jump back into your schedule AND you have to stay unbiased on the condition of the injury… I would try to err on the side of caution since pushing a day early at this point might set you back another week…be careful…
