My calf tightened up again on a short two mile run Sunday after taking another whole week off. I had my self convinced I wouldn’t be able to finish. Bah.
Short version….bib number 5356 finished 1634 with a chip time of 3:10:40. Didn’t get my original goal of 3:10, but I’ll take it. Actaully, I was elated. My quads were destroyed, nothing like Chicago. More later.

You finished within 40 seconds of your goal time – even with the injury issues you’ve had lately? That’s awesome! With the race a lot of people had on Monday, you shouldn’t complain one bit. Congrats. I’m looking forward to reading a full race report.

I would say that you made your goal… drop the seconds…
congrats and enjoy the recoup time… make sure you get plenty of potassium (banannas or apricots)…
