For some time, I have been thinking of adding at least one page to Hillrunner.com in honor of Arthur Lydiard. His passing this past Sunday has motivated me to do even more. I decided to add a whole section to the site devoted to Lydiard and what he has done for the sport of running.
At the moment, this section includes an article I wrote explaining how Lydiard shaped my running from my very first step as a competitive runner; a page where you can find books written by Lydiard, as well as books written about him, written about his training philosophy, and written about those who use his methods; and finally a page with links to online Lydiard resources, including information about his methods and about the Lydiard himself. I hope to add even more to this section in the future.
I hope you will find this new section informative and useful.
