A nice story from the local paper for the Chris Solinsky fans out there (I know you're there):
The last thing Chris Solinsky sees before he closes his eyes at night is his summer to-do list, posted on the ceiling above his bed.
It's a reminder that he needs to literally get off to a running start the next day.
Here are the highlights:
First, Solinsky hopes to break his personal best in the mile (3 minutes 57.8 seconds) at the Nike Mile on May 29 in Beaverton, Ore.
Then he plans to take a crack at training partner Matt Tegenkamp's U.S. record in the two-mile (8:07.07) on June 8 at the Prefontaine Classic.
After that, he'll try to knock off world champion Bernard Legat and Tegenkamp and win the 5,000 meters at the U.S. Olympic trials, June 27 to July 6 in Eugene, Ore.
Last, but not least, he wants to stand on the podium at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
